Review content:
i bought an M14 receiver in 05. sent it and a new TRW parts kit to a renown 'smith to build into a sweet USGI rifle...
he couldnt get it to headspace. he sent the receiver back to entreprise and dealt with Lawrence. Lawrence worked on it (allegedly) and sent it back to my gunsmith...
the gunsmith still couldnt get it to go together right. he sent it back with directions of what he felt was needed...
Lawrence said they would make me a new receiver. i dont know if that was the case or not...
the receiver went back to the 'smith who got it to 'just barely' make headspace. he finished it up and sent it to me...
i took it out to break it in and to zero it only to find that there were no windage indices on the receiver. i dont recall if the '1st' receiver had them or not, so i dont know if it truly is a 'new' receiver...
i called them to see about getting it returned for a refund or the indices engraved...
the owner Howard told me that good shooters dont use windage indices and that people pay extra for short headspaced barrel/bolt combos. i asked him if he had heard of the better business bureau and he asked if that was a threat...
he told me to send it back and i would get it with in 3 weeks. 6 weeks later THEY HADNT EVEN WORKED ON IT!
i had them send it back to me sans windage indices and put it in the safe. its sat there for going on 5 years...
sad excuse for an arms company
