Having grown up in Bay View there are a few things in my life that are staples; Sweet Rolls, Friday Fish Frys, the South Shore Water Frolics, and Leon's Custard Stand. If I had to use one word to describe Leon's I would have to say. ""quality"". I always see the delivery trucks out back bringing in the fresh ingredients, and you can taste them in their custard. My favorites would have to be the Leon's Special which is a super sundae with their yummy salted pecans. If Mint is the Flavor of the Day, I would highly recommend a Mint Hot Fudge Sundae. It's absolutely delicious. My fiance is prone to a chocolate custard sundae with the strawberry sauce. Ya the parking can be a pain, but the line moves quickly and the prices and custard are worth the wait. Thanks Leon's for sticking to your guns, maintaining your quality and menu over the years, and of course for continuing to support the South Shore Frolics. Summer wouldn't be the same without the two of you!
