Never in my life have I had worse service than when dealing with Verizon home services. I make an appointment for a technician to come out and hook up new service as my phone jacks are really old and might need to be repaired. They give me an appointment time of between 8-5 so I take off work all day which loses me about $125 for the day and no one even bothers to shows up or even call me. (is this starting to sound like a comedian's bit) I call them only to find out THEY decided they could just turn on the phones at their office and don't need to come out. I tell them that I have no working jacks and that's why I expected them to come here...that's why I took off a whole day of work....that's why I made an appointment for them to come here, their response was to put in an emergency request to have someone come out the next day, between 8-5. So I take off work again the next day only to lose another $125 and to have no one show up again. So I called to just cancel the whole deal and they have the nerve to tell me they are charging me for service from the day they turned it on until it actually cancels. which takes up to 3 days....bet it isn't as much as I will be billing them for not showing up for their appointments! Terrible service, archaic DSL internet and poor customer relations...can't even imagine how they are still in business!
