Review content:
I don't know about you but going to an ""authentic Italian restaurant"" and finding a fried perch sandwich is a little odd to me. I would love to see them shorten the menu (there are too many choices!) and really specialize in something. There are some great options though it would be nice if more was homemade. I asked for a calzone with added ricotta and was told they didn't have ricotta! How can an authentic Italian restaurant not have ricotta cheese! It's obvious then that they don't make their own ravioli,etc... because they don't even have ricotta. That was very disapointing to me.
The pizza however, is excellent. The pizza/marinara sauce is incredible- very sweet and flavorful. We always order extra sauce to dip our pizza in!
The other negative is the atmosphere is DARK & cluttered and outdated. It is not a ""pretty"" place to eat. I would much rather order take-out from Luigi's than bring anybody to the restaurant unfortunately :(
Pros: Best marinara sauce in town!
Cons: Outdated atmosphere, menu problems
