I too was there yesterday for lunch. There wasn't anything open in CC so we went to Akasha. The decor is great....I love the NY style loft look. Its was slammed when we were there. I agree with the time issue as our food took a bit of time but I figured it was because they were slammed and it was Labor Day and nothing within a 5 block radius was really open. I had a male waiter who was nice and did apologize for the wait and he also sent over a manager, a British woman, who apologized and told us that the kitchen wasn't expecting such a turn out today and reassured us that this will prepare them for the future. So I am not going to nail them to a cross. Was I hungry and grouchy, yes, but I am also a fair and understanding man. They comped our drinks which was good for us! The food I thought was great, I had the Turkey burger and my wife had the salmon salad, we shared a prosciutto pizza as an appetizer. They were all good! The table next to us had a waitress and she was training a new girl so maybe the new server will replace the server that the review complained about below. The girl in training was beautiful and smiled a lot so I guess that's a good sign. My wife and I will go back and hopefully they will have gotten the timing down. Its also only been open a few months.
Pros: Food, Decor, Drinks, Service, PARKING!!!!!!!
