Review content:
I've never had such a bad experience with a Pediatric office as with Castle Rock Pediatrics. Our family has moved several times due to my Husband's job. Due to the fact that my Daughter has a tendency to run high fevers, her Pediatricians have always requested that we keep Motrin at her daycare. In order to do this, daycare centers have always required us to have a form filled out by her Pediatrician to specify the over the counter medicine and the dosage. All of her previous Pediatricians have allowed us to drop off the form, which a Nurse will fill out and the Pediatrician signs (as a courtesy - at no charge - since it is only 3 lines they fill out). This Pediatric office decided that this service amounted to $171.95. Mind you...I only needed three lines filled out (over the counter medicine name, dosage, and a signature). I called the office to request that they review the amount - which I emphatically maintained was excessive! They refused and basically stated that this amount was THIS Pediatrician's cost for this service and that I was welcome to find another Pediatrician if I did not agree. We paid this bill and immediately looked for another Pediatrician. The new office has had to fill out another daycare form for me (since they expire after a time period) - at no cost! They deem it a courtesy to their patients -- the nurse fills out the name of the over the counter medication and the dosage then gets the Pediatrician to sign the form. It amazes me that certain Doctors abuse their role and charge unethical amounts of money for their signature. I will never set foot at Castle Rock Pediatrics again.
Pros: None Really...
Cons: Services extremely overpriced!
