Pillars social service agency is awful to deal with. Most of the workers are not licensed in the state to practice anything. They tell people they have a masters degree pretending that makes them qualified. You don't find out they are unlicensed til you ask them to advocate for you. If you need them to advocate for you they will give you nothing but the run around. I was given the run around for 3 months to find out their lawyer told the counselor not to advocate for me. I was told by my therapist that my counselor was going to advocate and found out she isn't going to do it. The facilities are outdated and unsafe. I attend foxfire which is a agency owned by pillars. The facility is summit is run down and the building looks like it is in great need of repair. The back stairs creek like they are going to cave in. I would never recommend this place to anyone needing services. They continually preach you have a mental illness and need to be medicated. They constantly reinforce taking your medication and remain drugged so we can work with you. I dont' see how unlicensed ""professionals"" are telling people they have a mental illness and need to be medicated. That suggests practicing medicine in my eyes. I have dealt with pillars for over 30 years and regret it. They teach people to advocate for themselves and ask for help. When you most need it they give you nothing but the runaround. I am seeking an attorney to sue them for social worker malpractice.
