Businiess name:  J & D Bicycle Shop

Review content:
I looked up J&D Bicycle Shop on my phone as I needed a quick brake check on my mountain bike. Something is wrong with my disk brakes(they cannot stop) and no adjustment worked to fix it. So I decided to bring my bike to a bike shop(thinking they will fix them) and have them look at them and see if they need to be replaced, or a part needs to be replaced. I called them and they were very nice , and told me that to check the brakes it will cost 10$ + parts. It sounded good. I left my bike there, and they called after 2 hours telling me that it will cost 15$, while thinking that this will be the cost to make my DISK brakes stop when I press the brake, while before that the wheel will roll even if I press the brakes to MAX. I went there to pick up the bike, and I started paying as they gave me the bill right away. Before I signed the payment, I wanted to see if the bike is fixed. I went and pressed the the brakes and the bike was moving as if almost there was no brake. I said to them that this is the way I brought the bike in. So I asked them, what's wrong with the picture? I brought my bike the same way and you guys told me you fixed it ,while charging me $5 more than what we originally said. They said ""come and sign this and I will take a look at it"" - are you serious? anyways, giving them the benefit of the doubt, I signed and the older guy came and tweaked the bolts a bit, and the bike was still doing the same thing. So he said, ""well this is the best they will be"" . And I said - ""This is the same condition I brought the bike in - and you charged me $15 for something I already told you that I did my self - adjusting the disk brakes."" I left disappointed that the nice looking shop and kind people have ripped me off. Yes my bike is cheap BUT I brought it in so the brakes will be fixed and not just adjusted and then readjusted , while doing NOTHING to the condition of the brakes - still the same. All I got was an answer, ""Hmm... well that is the best you will get them to be"" - which is the same condition I brought it in and explained what was the problem, but they still charged me. VERY DISAPPOINTED! BUYER BEWARE!!! Make sure you TELL THEM EXACTLY what you need and that if they DO NOT FIX IT YOU WILL NOT PAY. I should have said that to them but I did not believe that they will do that. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.
