i love the food here, and anytime we're in the mood for breakfast food, we do not hesitate to call and order our food to go. Thankfully we live about 5 minutes away and usually I get my food right away and leave.
I rarely want to dine in at this place because the service is the worst service I've ever seen. The service alone takes 2 whole stars off the review. The food is really really good though, and worthy of 3 stars. I don't care about nickel and diming me, since it is a business (unlike mrgirone who thinks everything should be free, its a business!) but the food portions are plentiful. My wife usually orders the country fried steak and it is excellent. I sneak a couple bites away from her when I can. I usually order the sausage, egg and cheese croissant. My only gripe with the croissant is there is too much cheese and not enough meat, but it is delicious.
Wait times during peak times (sunday and saturday mornings) are usually atrocious and the only times I went there they had 2 waitresses, I think one of them was pregnant and of course they were slow as hell.
Overall, if you don't mind the wait, and have a lot of time to kill, eat at Bear Paw. it is excellent, and if I didn't have a dinner reservation elsewhere tonight, I might go get it right now.
