I received my First Degree Black Belt at Seattle Tae Kwon Do under the instruction of Master Sung-Mi Lee. I had never taken a martial arts class in my life but always wanted to learn self defense. I began going in my early thirties and it ended up being one of the best decisions I ever made. The Masters and Instructors at STKD are highly trained, skilled and knowledgeable about the art of Tae Kwon Do. They practically live at this Do Jang in Mountlake Terrace, 10 hours a day / 6 days a week. All masters and instructors are all from Korea and studied the art since they were children. This isn't some part time Foot Fist Way school. Plus the teachers can instruct everyone from a child to an experienced high Black Belt. My fellow classmates have proved indispensable as well, I have developed many strong friendships here that carry on to the outside world. I can't recommend this Tae Kwon Do studio enough. If you're looking to learn how to defend yourself, build immense confidence & get a the best work-out of your life - give this school a try.
