Review content:
This place lives up to its NY expectations. I'm from NY and typically can not be pleased somewhere other than NY for pizza. Normally some stuff is OK, but not great. This place, however, is quite the exception. It feels like you fell out of Seattle and into NY for a while. The drive from downtown Seattle is about a half hour but totally worth it. The pizza actually seems like it is from NY. They also have White Ricotta Pizza--a tri-state area specialty.
Additionally for the ""whacky points,"" a man with a parrot walked in in the middle and he knew the owners so the owners gave him some pizza---which was quite a site---a parrot who ate pizza.
If you are impatient, it is VERY important to order ahead of time (over the phone). The whole enterprise is run by one woman and her husband so it can be pretty slow if you are impatient. The owners are a bit kurt sometimes (reminding NYers of the East Coast and the Soup Chef from Seinfeld perhaps? ), but they seemed pretty reasonably as long as you didn't complain about the speed.
The toppings are pretty simple since it really is a 1 or 2 person show, but they do the job. Also there are plenty of subs and pasta that I didn't get to try.
Pros: Great pizza, whacky atmosphere, feels like you fell into NY
Cons: fairly slow, not much seating
