THere is a really long wait and highlights dont even come out that great. I had my hair done with Carmen after 1 hour wait on a wednesday at 1pm for the first time I decided to give it a try after hearing all the great review here, well my highlights came out way too blonde for my taste almost white and after only requested a few medium hightlights i had foil all over my hair you cant even see my brown base color she told me it looks better like that, it doesnt look like highlights looks like she colored my whole hair. I tried to get used to it and after a week i decided to call my sis and she toned it down and it looked okay it still doesnt look like highlights two months later i decided to give them another chance you know maybe i wasn't clear with what i wanted even though i brought a photo with me. This time i made appt a week before for early 3pm appt on a thursday and confirmed appt then i received a call to come in at 2pm that Carmen can see me earlier, I made it really clear that i had to pick up my daughter and i had to leave work earlier and that the last time i had to wait they apologized for the wait and told me that yes i would be seen at 2pm. When i get there at 1:55pm she is doing a full set of highlights I couldnt believe it after paying a babysitter to watch my kid and having limited time and calling before i arrive and they asking me to come in earlier I decided to wait, 10 mins later she came over to me and told me she was almost done. So i waited another 30 minutes and i see someone else sit at her chair after 40 min waiting she told me do you want some water I just have to do one more blow dry about another hour I was so upset because i really needed my hair done for a halloween party but i just couldnt let my babysitter wait any longer I had to leave she seems like she really didnt care and that they have so much business that its not a big deal if they loose a customer. Its sad because Hialeah doesnt have that many decent hair salons and i was willing to give them another chance but they just dont care about there clients they want yout to wait hours. If you have plenty of time to wait then go for it but as a busy mom, full time worker , and part-time student I just cant do it.
