I pay bills for a friend of mine who is terminally ill and has less than a month to live. We paid his February rent on 1/31/12. I received a call from an evil little Troll named Stacey around the 10th or 12th of the month stating she hadn't received the rent. I checked into it and had his bank fax her a copy of the cashed check. Didn't hear anything for at least a week, so I assumed everything was okay. Then I get a message from the Troll stating that the check was cashed and it wasn't her company who cashed it, so I needed to give her a replacement check right away. I explained to her AGAIN that Paul was bedridden and we didn't have an extra $1100 lying around and that I would give her the money once the bank credited the account. Mind you we send the rent the exact same way every month through his bill pay. HOW DID THEIR CHECKS GETTING STOLEN BECOME OUR PROBLEM? She started issuing threats that if the money wasn't replaced she would give us a 3 day eviction. I contacted an attorney, so I knew she couldn't, but my 7 year old daughter was playing outside yesterday (she doesn't live at the property) and the evil little bit** hands her a letter over the fence and says ""Can I give this to you?"" She's lucky I didn't see her because I probably would have done something I would regret. This is obviously a very unprofessional ""management"" company. I could understand their strong arm tactics if Paul was someone who was consistently late on his rent or if they didn't have proof from the bank that we paid it, but their behavior towards this dying man is unbelievable to me and I hope, hope, hope it comes back to bite them in the a**. Run as fast as you can if you thought about doing business with this company!!!!
