I purchased one of two companion desks the store had. It was exactly what we were looking for in a desk. Although it wasn't made entirely clear that I was buying the floor model, it would have been fine if the desk had been delivered without flaws. The first thing I noticed when it was on my home floor was that the top slanted to one side. We moved it around the floor and the same slant was still there. I looked underneath to try to see why it was uneven and found two things. A piece of wood on the underside holding half of the three legs to the top was partially broken off and missing two screws. One of the three legs at the other end was not flush with the post it was supposed to be nailed or glued to. It was separated about 1/3 inch at the bottom tipping the leg up. Another leg doesn't even touch the floor unless you press really hard on the desk top. These were things that really couldn't be remedied either easily or at all. It was damaged beyond repair. They would have traded it with the only other one they had which I didn't want (different style top) but that was all they would do. I suggested in store credit and they said okay but charged me a $300 restocking fee! It's damaged and won't be sold as is (hopefully) and they wouldn't budge on the restocking fee. Hard to work with the management and charged an outrageous amt. for a damaged desk which was probably damaged in transit except for the missing wood underneath! Junk furniture from China! What a ripoff! If you take something off their floor, make certain you go over it with a fine-toothed comb.
