Businiess name:  Hennessy's Restaurant

Review content:
Last night (3.20.2010) we hoped to dine at Hennessy's in Aston, but learned in less than 35 mins that the mgmt of this restaurant has no interest in new customers. (We thought we'd give them a try after seeing them on UPROMISE) We arrived at 7:30p and stood neglected for 15 mins before a waitress kindly attempted to seat us in the bar area. That was when the host finally acknowledged us, not by giving us menus, but rather by telling us that we couldn't sit there that this table was ""reserved"" although it had no ""reserved"" sign on it, (though other tables did). The kind waitress then attempted to seat us in the dining room. However, the host again mysteriously appeared and again insisted we move because this table was for a couple at the bar who arrived before we did. At this point, there were no further tables available (the restaurant is on the small side.) Disgusted, my husband said ""I'll spend my money elsewhere,"" so we did. The restaurant decor was dark, gloomy, and badly in need of an update. After such disinterested service, I doubt we'll give this place a try ever again. It appears to be a very ""local"" place that only wants to accommodate patrons that the host (and/or owner) are personally buddies with. Pros: kind waitress that tried Cons: host who only seats friends
