Review content:
My boyfriend and I decided to go to Saylers because it was recommended by friends. Before we left, I did a little research. Out of all the restaurants, Saylers had the most reviews. Most of them were bad reviews but we decided to go anyways and experience the restaurant for ourselves and disregard what we read. We were seated right away and were given the relish tray and our drinks. I ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes and my boyfriend ordered the Filet Mignon with a baked potato. Meantime, the waitresses did the swithcheroo on us without telling us. The new waitress gave us wrong salads to each of us. We both got plain baked potatoes with our entrees while I asked for mashed potatoes and he asked for a baked potato with the works. My prime rib was cooked medium rare and it was probably cooked for a mere 5mins. It was flavorless and I had to use A1 steak sauce which should not be needed for a prime rib. My bf's steak was just as flavorless. I tried adding the steak seasoning but that was tasteless. Overall, they give you a lot of food but the steak entrees were not worth the expensive price. I can get a better Prime Rib elsewhere for a lesser price. The food was mediocre but the waitress was very nice and helpful. Everyone makes mistakes but I was just not impressed with the food. The reviews were right about the soda refills. It took about 10mins for his refill while they asked me for a refill when it was too late. I had already polished off the water When I see a expensive price attached to a meal, I expect the food to be very tasty and worth it. Not sure if we are coming back in the future, but we'll see.
Pros: Good service, leaves you feeling full, great ice cream by Sunshine Dairy
Cons: Overpriced prices, mediocre food
