Review content:
I hate to give a bad review to this restaurant because the food was great. I've been there twice, and the food is some of the best Thai food to be found in LA. It's authentic, fresh, and well prepared. However, it seems that if you are not all dressed up and looking to spend big bucks on wine and multiple courses, the staff is not so interested in talking to you. Our server literally spoke one sentence to us the entire night, and the rest of the time we got the cold shoulder and poor service. Meanwhile, at the other tables, she was laughing it up, smiling, being friendly, etc. I think I can honestly say that I have never felt so unwelcome at a restuarant in all of LA. If you're looking for a casual, comfortable restaurant to get some good Thai, Cafe Talesai is not the place. Pros: Good Food, Easy Parking, Authentic Cuisine Cons: Small Portions, Attitude, More Attitude
