Review content:
I called this place (504-340-3968) between 7:30-8:00 every morning for a week to find out the fine for a speeding ticket. I could NEVER get in touch with anyone, so I decided to leave a message with my name and phone number. No one ever returned my phone call. Finally, on July 6, 2009 at around 7:35am I was finally able to speak to a person. Here is how the conversation went: Lady: ""Circuit court office."" Me: ""Yes ma'am, I'm trying to find out how much a ticket cost."" Lady:""WELL A TICKET FOR WHAT!? WHAT WAS THE TICKET FOR?!"" Me:( very perplexed by the rudeness of her tone...maybe she's not a morning person) ""It's a speeding ticket--I'm sorry, is this the number I am supposed to call for finding out the cost of a ticket....(this was asked because I was unfamiliar with the process and I wanted to make sure I didn't make a mistake and call the wrong department). I'm not sure if I called the right---"" Lady: ""WELL I ASKED YOU WHAT IT WAS FOR. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF TICKET IT IS."" Me: "" I'm sorry.....I apologize, I just had a question---Lady: ""I CAN TELL YOU THE PRICE OF THE TICKET!"" Me: ""Ma'am you don't have to be so rude, I just wanted to make sure that I called the right department!"" Lady:""YOU ASKED ME FOR THE PRICE ON A TICKET, SO I'M TRYING TO GIVE YOU THE PRICE......"" I hung up the phone at this point. She was very rude in the way that she spoke to me, and all I did was ask a simple question. So, after I calmed down, I decided to call back later, and after multiple attempts she answered the phone once again. I made sure I was very specific in my questions, making sure I requested the price of a ""speeding ticket"". Then, I asked another question: ""Will a court appearance be necessary to pay this ticket?"" Lady: (patronizing tone) ""No, a court appearance is not neccesary. If you would flip the ticket over on the back and read number 3, it explains all of that (as if I can't read!)"" Me: ""Ok, thank you, you have been very helpful (sarcasm here).""
Pros: Easy to find
Cons: Limited parking and rude employees
