This is a really large store with a great selection of items. I know the aisles pretty well by now so I am quick but let me tell you about Siham, the cashier that checked me out yesterday. It took forty minutes! I am not exactly an extreme couponer...I literally had 4 coupons. She questioned each one of them...the rest of the time she pretended she did not understand what I was saying and mumbled. When I handed her my coupons her voice was clear all of a sudden as she insisted I did not buy those items. She called her manager about each one and told me to find them from the already packed bags. I told her to check her screen to prove the items matched the coupons. There was a bona fide couponer behind me with a binder full of coupons who dashed away as soon as another lane opened up. In fact the entire line behind me ditched slow SIHAM. She literally examined and stroked each of the 92 items I purchased searching for the UPC which is completely unnecessary with today's technology. She was hopeless as a bagger too. I kept trying to grab the item before she could damage it. When I got home I had cheese with detergent. Crushed bread with a large pack of computer paper. The manager kept disappearing after each coupon over-ride. I asked him to ring me up and he blew me off. Here's what: I am never going back to Shoprite Hatfield. I will pay the higher prices at Weiss until the new Wegman's opens. You know it's bad when strangers come up to you and pat your arm in sympathy. One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch. SIHAM soured me forever on Shoprite Hatfield and the manager totally blew it a) cause he hired her b)because he was fully aware of her incompetence and he did not intervene to expedite the excruciating time-consuming experience. I hope he and SIHAM will be very happy together in the unemployment line I see in their future.
