This letter is for all the people who consider their pets as children. I have been taking in resue dogs for over 30 yrs and met many vets in my time. Dr. Rew is the 2nd vet that I have met that truely cares for the animals as if they were her own. Three yrs ago I had a very bad experience r/t the loss of a very loveable lab mix in which the vet hospital she was being seen at kept stating the dog is fine, all test are negative, despite the fact I was telling them she was losing wt., seemed depressed, ect.. Sadie died 3 days later, she just collasped on the floor. I was devasted feeling it was my fault and would not rescue any more dogs. A friend of mine stated she had found a new vet in the area and was extremely satisfied with the personal service she recieved and how caring the office staff was. Sooo after recieving 4 calls for dogs who desperately needed a home I was off with the pet mobile to Clementon family moved out and left sm. dog behind, Mt. Laurel Assisted Living had to give up their mascot, and Pine Hill where a little girls xmas present was to much for the family to handle. Sooo back to 4 dogs and off to see Dr. Rew with the crew. She was amazing! Took the time to review each dogs hx, gave each a full exam, gave appropiate shots and lab work. I felt trust again in the vet care and was amazed at her genuine compassion for the dogs. Well as law of average 1 dog had heart worms, but Dr.Rrew got us thru that with a lot of patience and caring for both the dog and the owners. One year later dog neg. for heart worms, but dx with diabetes. I have to say for the past 10 wks. she has worked so hard to save our dog and stabalize her without any reservations to time and concerns on our behalf to help us.Dr. Rew has went out of her was to save us money, giving undevoted time and care to save our dog Luckey. Dr. Rew understands the stress r/t caring for a dog with a chronic condition and I myself working 12-13 hr days.She and her staff have taken the time to keep Luckey thru the day to monitor her blood sugar and get her stabalized at a minimal expence. Why? Because she truely cares. She could have said why don't you put the dog down, but she did not! She wanted the dog to have every chance to live as I did. I have to say I thank God every day for the referal to a wonderful vet and staff who I hope will be around for a long time to help all the animals who need a real vet who cares. By the way I travel 45min to her office, I advise anyone no matter where you live to visit Dr. Rew for a true experience in compassionate vet care . She is truely the best!!!!!! Patricia Whittaker
