Review content:
I tried this place a few years ago and wasn't to happy with the food however I decided to give it another chance..MISTAKE. They open at 11 on Sundays, we entered about 11:15 to no lights and nothing prepared, stools still resting upon the counter top. We overlooked it and started to order. They were out of items and waiting on Richard to return from the store so worked around that.
The Shrimp po boy tasted like the whole bottle of lemon pepper season was used to add flavor to the farm raised bland shrimp. The crawfish etoufay(?) was sweet! Seemed to me that somebody used sugar instead of salt, I couldnt eat it. Good thing i had a salad right? no, i had to pick through the lettuce and pull out the wilted pieces. The kids said the pancakes and french toast was good. The fried okra was good but thats hard to mess up if you know anything about cooking.
The entire place was freezing cold, we ate our lunch in our coats.
We had two adults and three children go for lunch and the bill was $65!! I will never go to this place again. I have a cajun uncle so next time i""ll pay him to cook some REAL food, not fake imitations. Or made I'll just settle for uncle bens, zaterans anything but this! Chappy's is the absolute best cajun food around Nashvillle....oh did I mention the waitress sat down to visit her family while we were there? Thanks for the sucky service also!
