I have been to many piercing studios in the Valley (to get pierced and buy jewelry), and had always had mediocre experiences at best. So, when I knew I was ready for another piercing, I decided to do some research before choosing the location this time. All of the reviews I read about Body Electric were exceptional, so I decided to give them a try. It was all true! The minute we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Brian (the shop owner). Although I didn't have an appointment, I was able to see James within 15 minutes, and he was everything that I had read he was! So professional, so sweet, so patient, so accomodating...I could keep going : ) I was REALLY nervous about this piercing, but James explained the entire process to me, and answered ALL of my questions before I even committed to getting it done. They have a great jewelry selection, also, and Brian and James helped me choose the right size and detail for what I wanted. The piercing studio is secluded from the tattoo area, so it's completely private, which I definitely appreciated! Before we started, he talked me through it a little more, so when the time finally came...I was SO at ease. He promised the actual piercing would be over before I could realize what happened. So, while having me do some deep breathing, he pierced me...and kept his promise! It was so quick and easy, James made ALL the difference in the experience. Afterward, he went over care instructions with me (twice!) and even gave me some tips to make the healing process a little more comfortable. James went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and satisfied, and I would recommend him to EVERYONE who's looking to get pierced. I'm sure I'll want more piercings in the future, and I now I won't be going anywhere beside Body Electric!! Pros: Friendly & professional staff, great atmosphere & location Cons: Melrose parking (and nothing else!)
