Review content:
If you are thinking about coming to the US as a foreign exchange student, pick another company! Into Edventures is totally inflexible and unreasonable about its ""rules and regulations"". They do not seem to have the best interests of the students at heart. For example, if a student requests a non-religious family, they may get assigned one that forces the student to attend church twice weekly. If the student finds another family who is a better match for the student, there is no way to switch families under any circumstances. (unless the student's safety is in jeopardy). If a student requests a major city like New York, Boston or Chicago, they may get placed in a small mid-west town of 50,000. If a student has an opportunity to travel with another family who she/he has befriended they may under no circumstances travel ""independently""--even if the student's real parents have met the family, the family is willing to be vetted (background check), the real parents are willing to sign a release of liability, the host parents know and approve of the family and the trip, the trip is a fabulous opportunity for the student to see a completely different region of this great country. There are many other exchange student companies that are more flexible and reasonable in handling situations as they arise instead of creating ""blanket rules"" that don't make any sense under the circumstances.
