November 2008-- I have used Carl's taxi service regularly and was satisfied with their taxi service, until today. I had just got of the last bus to East Hampton. I got into one of the Carl's taxis. I was waiting for the driver to start driving, but he didn't. He waited to haul other passengers in, who I did not know. I was surprised and shocked. It was late and I was tired. I just wanted to be home. I was the last one to be dropped off. I don't mind shuttle service but thats not what I signed up when I made the reservation. The cab driver did not communicate with me if it were okay to have other passengers in at my expense. On top of that the driver told me to keep my eyes open because he did not know where he's going. The supervisor or dispatcher did not apologize. As a loyal customer of theirs, I am seeking other taxis services. I would not use their services again. My drive in the cab seemed longer than the jitney 3 hour ride.
Pros: You meet other strangers
Cons: Shuttle service for the price of taxi service
