I took my car in - ac air wasn't cooling. Was told that the ac package was 89.95 which includes 1 lb of freon. For every lb over 1 lb the charge is 19.95. The 89.95 ac job ended up being $112 because they put in 1.1 lbs. of freon. The ac was great on the 5 min drive home. 1 week later, for the 1st time, I take the car out and no ac. Took the car back, spoke with a serviceperson, told me to have a seat, the manager would be right with me. 30 mins. later, the manager (a woman) is still having a personal conversation with a man, so I go out to get the previous week's invoice - hoping to get her attention with it. There was another serviceperson outside and I expressed my displeasure to him. He told me he would let the manager know that I wasn't happy and that, most likely, I'd have to make an appointment because their mechanic wasn't on duty. I take the invoice in to the manager and asked if I could at least get a partial refund because I needed the ac repaired for a trip. No, I cannot get a refund but she will call the mechanic and see if he can come in. The mechanic does come in, checks my ac and finds a hose is leaking. But he has to order a part and won't be able to repair it until the next week. Total cost, approx $250. I asked if I could just get a can of freon (hoping my brother could repair it) & was told no, they don't give products for free. I left at this point because I couldn't afford to pay $250. Total time spent - 1.5 hours.
