Poor Hudson's, is still trying to find its place in Raleigh. I was in Hudson's not too long ago and I had won a gift certificate from one of there trivia nights. I tried to use the gift cert that tues night, but I was told you couldn't use it until next visit. So....I came in that following tues because I really enjoyed the bartender, Erin, who is always so friendly with everyone! At the end of the evening I gave Erin my gift cert, value $20.00, my tab was 16.99, I wanted to give the rest of the money to Erin as a tip, but I was told by the owner that we were not allowed to get cash back from the gift cert, but that we would have had to use the whole thing or we would have to take a loss. I have never heard of such a thing in my life. I had no cash on me and I did not want to stiff Erin beacuse she is so great. This really upset me and I argued with the owner for a minute about it, but he was very hard headed, wouldn't even give me a credit for the 4.00 in gift cert form. This must be how they are staying afloat, steeling from the customer and there employees! I have not been back since, other than to bring the bartender her rightfully deserved tip! Pros: ?
