I was previously going to Shore Vets in Egg Harbor Twp, but after a misdiagnosis, medication given in the wrong dosage and a vet tech that manhandled and got really loud with my upset cat, and another vet tech that just didn't care that the meds she sent home were wrong, and a vet that never heard of a premium cat food that my sick cat was on, and their high cost, I just couldn't take it anymore and finally switched vets. Shore Vets did send back a refund check for the unused meds and an apology on paper, but by then I had already switched vets.
And BOY I AM GLAD I did!
I decided to go to Absecon Vet Hospital and was lucky enough to have my pets seen by Dr Grossman. Dr Grossman and his Vet Tech were fantastic with my pets. My upset cat previously had to wear a muzzle at the other vet (even when she was a kitten) - but the Vet Tech and Dr Grossman handled my cat with so much compassion, she didn't try to bite them much, and she didn't need a muzzle (even when they took blood) - Dr Grossman diagnosed my cat and sent me home with meds that my cat actually will take (and she wasn't eating before) - I know for a fact my sick cat and my other cats are in good hands here. Dr Grossman also took his time to educate me on why my cats do what they do. He also called me at home to give me the results of the blood test the very next day. In the past, I have always had to hunt down previous vets at other locations to get results. I also expected a big bill since I brought in all my cats at once, but the bill wasn't high at all. Dr Grossman is just like the other writer said, he reminds you of the vet in the books,"" All Creatures Great and Small"" ( about a vet in England who really cared and knew what he was doing). He is a great vet & my cat is finally getting the medical help she needs.
I wouldn't go anywhere else now!
