Review content:
I have been a couple times and I saw the same singer all three times, maybe just bad luck. A previous reviewer stated how the Oviatt building is on the Register of Historic Places, there is no doubt that the building is beautiful, but the caliber of the entertainment they put on and this guy Maxwell who is running everything is not up to par with the establishment. I have to agree with the other posters in saying that he really does not have the personality or the warmth of a professional MC and from what I have heard from other people at Cicada, including regulars is that he really not very personable or friendly. I guess this is restaurants problem, not ours. If you need to spend your sunday night out, check out Edison, its great.
Pros: Beautiful building, nice bar.
Cons: Could use some better acts.
