Review content:
I went in to switch out the VCR player in our van for a DVD player. I had told the salesman that I was hoping that the infr-red sensor on the TV screen would still work to control the new DVD player. He looked at it and said he thought it would--""It looks like a universal."" The price on the DVD player and the install was going to be $185.00 (Car Toys would do it for $250 plus installation). The old VCR was simply held to the floor in the front of the van with Velcro, so I had them put the DVD player in the same place. When I got home I found that the battery in the remote was dead and that the infra-red remote receptor on the TV didn't work with the DVD player. I went back in the next morning and pointed this out, and also said that my wife would like the player installed under the dash, above the footwell, on the passenger's side (out of the way). They were very apologetic about the remote battery, and said they would run the remote sensor that came with the deck anywhere I wanted it. In addition, they reinstalled the deck where my wife wanted it--THEY DID ALL THIS FOR FREE! Just running the remote sensor required him to get behind the dash, into a side panel, and into the roof to route it.
