Review content:
We have eaten here twice. The first time, in 2005, I would have rated it a 4.5 which is why we returned recently. This time I would rate it a 3.0 and was somewhat disappointed. The breads were fabulous, however. The curry was simply mediocre. I was glad it was not greasy but sorry that it was not as spicy as I expected it to be. I am accustomed to a more vibrant spicy taste in Indian food and found it somewhat bland. There was no American iced tea so I had to order a soda. The machine was mixing the syrup and and soda wrong, and the drink was far too concentrated in soda. When I told the waitstaff I was met with ""No one else has complained."" We will not return when we are in Berkeley.
Pros: Good Indian bread and mango lassi
Cons: Average Indian curries
