The gentleman has been in business for a long time and doubtless has many loyal customers. I will not contact him again for service of any kind. I understand having a bad day, and I can certainly handle when people are rude, but this was way past that. I called with a fairly straightforward question regarding what I needed in order to get a brake tag; I was very polite and did not argue with anything he said. Being new in the area, I was told I needed a brake tag before getting my registration. I now know I was misinformed about that and I appreciate the gentleman clarifying it for me. What I don't appreciate is that in the process, he insulted me and implied that I was lying about being told I needed a brake tag at all. He was sarcastic and indignant when I didn't know how much a Louisiana brake tag cost and when I wasn't familiar with how long he'd been in business. When I apologized for having the wrong information about the brake tag and registration, he snapped at me that he'd been dealing with this for many years and the regulations hadn't changed. I thanked him for his help anyway. Most people around here have been very nice, and I was taken by surprise at this behavior. He completely bypassed rudeness in favor of simply being mean. By the time I hung up, I was nearly in tears.
