Review content:
When I used to live in Salem, this is the only place I would buy supplies. I tried Aycock, and while Curt is a great guy, his selection is BAD. 5 visits, only 1 did he have what I needed. Doug is rarely out of anything. The worst I can say is he does not seem happy all that often, but he never takes out his frustration on customers, and is always very helpful and knowledgeable. He knows more than ANY other brewer I have met since I began a few years ago. He can admit if he's wrong, doesn't have an answer, and he never talks down to customers like they are stupid. For Salem, his selection is pretty good. Prices can be a little higher than Aycock, not much, but Doug also has much more. I will pay more if I can get what I want. Forget about him being grumpy. His advice is excellent and even on his bad days he always treated me well. Doug knows his products, knows what they do, and gives good and thorough advice.
Pros: Good selection, fair prices, VERY knowledgeable
Cons: Doug can be a little unhappy at times, never takes it out on the customer, short hours
