I wish I had seen these reviews before I visited Sona Med Spa. I signed up for the laser hair removal and was very disappointed. I am a naturally dark blonde almost tipping into a very light brown and when I read in the Sona info that the laser isn't always effective at removing blonde hairs, I immediately questioned the technician as to whether or not I would have any issues. I was assured that I wouldn't have any issues as it was only a problem for very light blondes so I signed away. I went to all of my treatments which were very painful as they turned the laser up to a very high setting when they were unable to get results at a lower setting. After 6 sessions spread out over months, I saw absolutely NO change. Of course the contract states that they cannot guaruntee results. I would have never paid for the expensive treatments if I had been told that I wasn't likely to get a good outcome. The technician that told me I wouldn't have a problem was no longer working at Sona. I was told it wouldn't have mattered even if she was still there as they wouldn't honor anything I had been told verbally. So no results and out a bunch of money. Buyer beware if you have light brown/dark blonde hair or lighter. If your results are like mine, you'll have invested a lot of time, money and pain to get nothing in return. Did anyone at Sona care? Not in the slightest.
