Review content:
The technician came, diagnosed a problem with the control panel on our dishwasher. He quoted a repair price of $440. When he left, we looked up the cost of the part, which turned out to be $130. Even including the cost of labor, Action's warranty, etc., this is an outrageous markup. I am furious that I wasted $54.95 having them come out to waste my time with such an absurd quote. So ridiculous, in fact, that it was about $90 more than we paid to have the entire machine delivered and installed.
Is it their business practice to collect your $54.95, give an outrageous quote and then leave? Given the other reviews here, apparently so. At least we weren't screwed on the ""restocking"" fees like other people were.
I called them to ask why there was such an enormous discrepancy, and they simply said, ""we don't compete with internet prices."" Hmm, good answer...
I sure wish I'd looked at the number of BBB complaints there are against them BEFORE we called (119 in the past 3 years).
