Businiess name:  Erin Naimi, Rd Nutrition Therapist

Review content:
This is my first review on Citysearch but I felt compelled after having such a successful visit with Erin Naimi. I've had Ulcerative Colitis (a chronic disease where your immune system attacks your digestive system) for 10 years with mixed results from various prescription medications. I decided to do some research and network with other IBD sufferers to see if there might be some useful information out there my doctors weren't providing. I came across lots of evidence that diet and proper nutrition could greatly improve my symptoms but every doctor I mentioned this to looked me in the eye and told me diet had no affect on my disease. I decided to go out on my own and began researching nutritionists in the area. When I found out Erin had worked for several years at Cedar Sinai (one of the top hospitals for IBD's in the country) I decided to set up an appt. - and boy am I glad I did! Very quickly into our first session, Erin was able to tell me exactly what I was eating each day that was causing me problems. She taught me the difference between soluble and insoluble fiber and gave me a concise, detailed list of approved foods and others I should stay away from. She was able to quickly formulate a plan that worked for my specific condition and was able to throw in plenty of fun and enticing food options (like peanut butter and banana smoothies!) so I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. She also recommended supplements that I wish I had been taking regularly for years (including a multi-vitamin specifically developed for colitis sufferers that curiously no doctor had ever even mentioned before). Within days of adhering to Erin's suggestions, I felt noticeably better. I have stuck to Erin's diet for several months now and feel great! I am now recommending her to all my family, friends and co-workers. Pros: Ambience, Professionalism, Communication, Follow up
