I am very disappointed to read such poor reviews for Mama Carolla's. I am Italian and it is my favorite place to go for Italian food! I have never had a bad meal there. Their canoli is awesome! Let me clarify some earlier complaints: I don't see it as romantic, but if you have ever been to a real Italian dinner, it is loud! To me, this is more casual style dining, but it could very well be cozy on a weeknight. If you go on the weekeind, it is crowded and you will have to wait (like every other restaurant in Indy), but I have never waited more than 20 minutes. I believe that the food is worth the wait! The prices are very reasonable. Just recently, at another ""upscale"" Italian restaurant in the Geist area, we had reservations and STILL waited 30 minutes.
