I used to go to the bar a few times a year before it was Maddens. It was nice. Everyone was friendly, awesome bartender, zero drama.I went to Madden's recently and I will never step foot in there again! First off, the service isn't great, the bartender is slow and has an attitude, she is not friendly. The ONLY good thing was the DJ, and I'm pretty sure his name was Richard. There was a lady there, maybe 65, sitting at a table right next to us, so we witnessed everything. Right after we sat down she started walking by our table and yelling at me, I had no idea why, I just ignored her. She threw her ashtray down on her table, made a huge mess and was blaming me for it, when I was at another table, hadn't gone anywhere near her! She also kept talking to her boyfriend/husband and pointing at me. So then he kept eyeballing my husband. Lol, we were not going to engage them, we don't go out to be involved in drama with strangers. She must have just been looking for trouble because it didn't take long before she tried to physically fight with 4 different people, and actually got into two physical fights, knocking chairs over, the whole deal. Her boyfriend/husband was getting into it as well, threatening and trying to fight people too. The crazy lady was actually injured! She was trying to fight several people at once (none of them did anything to her, she started pushing them around and screaming at them on her way to the bathroom), they were trying to just make her stop and keep her back cause she was throwing punches everywhere, then she got knocked down, slammed her face againts the bar, hit a chair on the way down, and could NOT get back up. My friend had to help her off the floor. The cheek she hit on the bar swelled out past her nose! She had no business being there!!! Two entire tables of people left because of them. The worst part? the owner/staff NEVER did anything to diffuse the situations or stop the crazy couple. Didn't cut them off, didn't tell them to stop, didn't ask them to leave, didn't call them a cab. NOTHING. They just kept right on serving them like nothing was going on! Maybe they were friends, but you'd think they'd be even more upset that their friends would behave that way in their bar! I will NEVER go to a place, where the owners/staff allow someone to harrass, & verbally and physically attack other customers, and do NOTHING about it. That is insane. We go out rarely, when we do, we just want to relax and have fun. Madden's is nothing but white trash DRAMA!!!
