Review content:
After hearing all the hype about Versailles, I decided to give it a try. My boyfriend and I split the carne asada and the famous garlic chicken. I definitely liked the garlic chicken better than the carne asada although I didn't think it was nearly as good as everyone claims. It was well cooked and tasty, but I didn't really care for the garlic sauce. Perhaps it's my personal taste, but it had so much lemon juice in it that it overpowered the meat. Also, the meat was not very tasty on its own but relied heavily on the greasy sauce for any taste. However, I did like the garlic bread which they give you to start and the plantains were decent, although I think one or two bites will do. It's so fried and soaked in grease that anymore would just be unappetizing! Each dish ran about $10, and for the price and for the amount of grease, I would much rather go get some Roscoe's. Overall, overhyped and just WAY too greasy.
Pros: quick
Cons: greasy greasy greasy, bad service
