Imagine enjoying a cigar with some of your best buddies in a basement straight out of the 50's or 60's. That's the vibe of The Big Easy and is also precisely why I visit 2-3 times a week. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the TV is big, and the easy chairs are well-worn to perfection. The selection and prices are pretty reasonable for Ventura Blvd (right acros the street from Pinz, otherwise known as the most expensive bowling alley on the planet, but I digress), the parking's more than likely gonna be a metered space on Ventura so bring change if its before 6PM.
Pros: gruff but friendly staff, nice selection, reasonable prices for being on Ventura
Cons: if you're opposed to street parking, hmmm...
