Review content:
I grew up eating Sir Pizza at this location since it first opened... but today I had to change my vote from "Like" to "Doesn't like" ... and here's why:\r \r Unfriendly and un-attentive staff.\r \r My wife and I actually drove out to the Key just to enjoy lunch at Sir Pizza-- a nostalgic thing for me, and I love their square-cut pizza. We parked out front, walked in, and that's when I noticed things weren't quite right. There were at least six tables with no food in front of the customers, and a full staff behind the counter. There were two customers standing by the counter to receive food, and I watched a pizza come out and be haphazardly butchered by the guy cutting it.... no care at all. While we stood there- the only customers waiting to order- staff meandered around behind the counter. They didn't greet us- they didn't even make eye contact. I tried to catch the eye of one as he walked up, and I started to say hello first, as he walked right past and picked up a ringing telephone.\r \r We waited for the phone call to finish- and then the guy just waked back away from the counter. It's like we weren't even there. This was not the friendly and engaged, normally brisk yet welcoming reception I usually get at the pizza joint I've been eating at since the 70's. This felt more like the Sir Pizza that used to be in Miami Lakes- which went out of business.\r \r I'll not bother with the drive out to the Key next time- I'll stick with the friendly new Sir Pizza in the Gables.
