Review content:
Now I was referred to Pooch's choice by a friend and of course google everything I am told about. Saw great reviews and a few bad. I loved the website and thought hey why not. Now mind you, my Llaso poo is 7 years old. She had a traumatic experience when she was 1 years old with a groomer. She was cut very badly and I told the old groomer not to cut her nails b/c they had already been trimmed. I had blood on my shirt b/c the groomer neglected to listen to me and still cut them! So I never took her to a groomer again b/c she had such a horrible experience. Now I wanted to give it another shot b/c I heard great things about Pooch's. And the vet recommended I try another groomer. So I scheduled an appointment and spoke to Alex who I assume is the owners front desk/assistant. He was great on the phone and could schedule an appointment right away. And what was even better was that they had Saturday hours. When my sister and I arrived, we told Alex everything. We told him about her traumatic experience, that she can be feisty, she may bite, and she hates blow dryers. Now we told him it's best that they use a mussel. He understood. We come back after 3 hours, and everything was fine. Then Alex did try to slide in the part, ""Oh, and we did knick her a little bit right under her eye."" I tried to stay calm but my sister did not at all buy it. We were horrified! And it wasn't a litle knick! She could barely open her eye!!! She looked so upset, and again TRAUMATIZED! This poor thing will never get a break! They literally cut her right just below her eye!! And we said now how the heck did they not get her in her actual eye?! He said they were using the clippers there and she moved and thats why she was cut. But obviously, being professionals, if a dog was feisty, would you put something sharp near their eye?? I definitely would NOT! And they knew that if she was already acting that way when starting. And he also told us they did not us a mussel. We paid b/c Alex convinced and assured us that they did not get her in her eye and that it should go down in a day or two. But still, that is a sensitive area. And we were so upset but were conned into accepting. We got home and her eye would still not open. Like she was beaten or something. And also we noticed a red flap in her eye. Oh my goodness, i was heartbroken. I told her I would never ever EVER do that to her again. She was so upset. I gave her a pain reliever to help with the pain b/c she appeared to be that way. We called back Alex that night and told him the situation and he gave attitude back. And we were concerned and we wanted them to pay for what they had done. He just happened to chime in we will cover the bill only if it's not an emergency doctor. Really? Wow is all I have to say. My dog could have gone blind?! Let's pray that she doesn't or they are looking at a problem. Never going back there! And I will continue to cut my dog's hair on my own. That is if she'll let me now that she has been traumatized again.
