Review content:
After hearing about this place three times in one week, I decided to go ahead and try it to see what all the hype was about. I called in 20 mins prior to picking up my lunch to avoid the crowded restaurant that everyone seems to complain so much about. When I got there my food was not ready and the man who was helping (one of the owners) was extremely rude. It wasn't what he said it was what he didn't say. There was something about his demeanor that was completely cold and uninviting. Then again, I can't really expect 5 star customer service at an asian restaurant anyway. I'm asian and have experienced many horrible experiences at asian restaurants. By the time I got back to the office I was excited to EAT! Like the soggy, overcooked vermicelli that I read someone describe, the rice i had tasted quite similar. I've had better Vietnamese food. This is no exaggeration, but Tamarind Tree is by far the yuckiest I've had. I'm sure a lot of the reviews rating this place a 4-5 star wouldn't even know the difference between a mexican cooking ""authentic"" Viet food from a Viet cooking Mexican food. Pros: Ambience and decor Cons: FOOD and parking
