Review content:
The first night I attended this school I had a substitute teacher who was knowledgeable and overall a good teacher. However, we heard a lot of negative things about our regular teacher teaching things incorrectly, with only a lamp on for lighting and not supervising or teaching students how to pour drinks, but rather telling them they could stay after to practice. The second time we were supposed to have class, no one showed up and we had no way of contacting the teacher to see what was going on. The third class, the regular teacher talked WAY too fast, gave information that was incorrect according to our book and what we learned from the previous teacher, and mostly taught random facts and not from the book. she skipped around the information in a way that was very hard to follow. She told us we would not be able to practice pouring drinks before our test and that we would test on our third class instead of our fourth like it should be. And I just felt like if I paid for three classes and a test day and I only got two then its kinda messed up. I think the book we got was a little out dated, but for the most part easy to self teach from and if all you want from this experience is a license, then go for it, but the job placement so far for my friend just said what positions in the area are open which I could have done myself -also you never pour actual drinks (the bottles have water in them for you to practice, which I believe is standard), but we didn't even hardly get to practice with the water. I felt like it just wasn't worth my money, the teacher was not professional, one girl was allowed to bring her test home and fill it out open book while the rest of us weren't. it was a disaster. The good news is I believe the company overall is looking into this so it might get better soon. I don't think it was the company who is the bad apple here at all.
