Review content:
For some reason there are two listings for this company on Citysearch...I'm posting this on both: Terrible experience. I went with this company based on positive online reviews and because of a quick email response to my quote inquiry. The service ended there. As moving day approached I hadn't received any additional info about the storage unit so called the office. They looked me up and confirmed my move time and didn't seem to have any specifics about the storage situation. This should have been my first clue to get out. Next, on moving day, when the movers were not there 30 minutes past my start time, I called the office. To make a very long story short, they ended up being almost 3 hours late and nobody called me - every time they weren't there at their updated arrival time (40 more minutes...40 more minutes) I had to call and wait for a 15-20 minutes to get an answer about where they were. They kept saying ""I have to call the manager"" and that they'd call me back. Yet when I was getting frustrated and asked to speak to a manager, they refused and said none was available. The movers who eventually showed were subcontractors and polite - but they did try to charge me for an extra minimum hour than I'd been quoted and didn't know the destination address for the storage unit that I THOUGHT was owned by the same company. When I called Best Movers, though, they said they had to call the manager and would call me back. This never happened - for all they know I'm still sitting there at my apt being charged $70/hr waiting to hear where I'm supposed to take my stuff! I had to locate an emergency storage unit while the movers were loading the truck - it was about 3 times the price I'd been quoted by Best Movers, but that's the only one I could find quickly. I will make sure to tell everyone I know never to trust this company's reviews online - they must be manufactured. I think this is some individual sitting in an apartment (I did some research on the address, think it's a condo community...) just contracting out moving. They do not take responsibility for their jobs. I'll be contacting the BBB.
