Review content:
My husband and I went to have our taxes done. We were needing a RAL to pay some bills and help some family members. We were not told that it could take 3-5 days to get the RAL and were also not told that it costs $61.00 just to see if we qualified for a RAL and that if denied, we still get charged $61.00 until after all of our taxes were completed. After sitting in the office for over two hours waiting for the tax preparer to complete our returns (we were the only ones in the office and started our returns as soon as we arrived), then all of this information was realayed to us. When I got home, that is when I found out that we were charged $322.00 for the preparer's fee. I wouldn't have paid $3.22 for her services. She had no idea what she was doing and had to call someone else twice!! No wonder H&R Block has a better reputation. I'll never set foot in a Jackson Hewitt office again and will do my taxes at home online for free from now on. I'll never lose $400 in fees for an incompetant person to do my taxes again. Lesson learned!!
