Tim's is an amazing hair experience. i had just moved to philly and i really needed a hair salon to cure my hair blues. i had researched some places on citysearch and read a couple of reviews and decided on giving tim's a try. i walked up cold to the place- no appointment, not really sure what the pricing was, with sort of an idea of what i wanted. as soon as i walked through the door i was greeted with a warm welcome. from that point on i was treated as if i was a supermodel getting the deluxe glamourization job. marc, the charming gentleman that was my stylist, was incredible. he talked me through what i wanted and gave insight into what his professional mind would suggest. he made sure that he knew what color and cut was right for my skin tone and face shape, that would enhance my assets, and wouldn't be too much of a maintenance issue. he was attentive all throughout the whole procedure and was very friendly and open, unlike other places where all they want to do is chop hair and collect money. he even got me a starbucks coffee while i waited for the color to set! marc was a true professional- he made my hair look fabulous and he made me feel fabulous. the pricing was a plus as well, being a college student i didn't have the funds to spend $350 on a center city hair-doo. a cool $155 got my long hair a rocking style and gorgeous color. tim's was a shot in the dark and it ended up being the best hair experience i have had, i will definitely make my next appointment there.
Pros: the staff all had smiles on their faces and they were genuinely interested in what they could do for you, pricing was great, and as the sign read they "welcomed walk-ins"
Cons: it was a little tricky to find but all you have to do was ask the information desk
