Review content:
This restaurant is a hole in the wall, but the food and service are wonderful. We've tried some of the other Vietnamese restaurants in town, but the food at those places has been bland and boring. The flavors at Saigon Palace, though, are rich and exciting. One of our favorites is the Bun Salad. You have a choice of meats, including (by order of preference) pork, chicken, beef, and shrimp. Order a ""combination"" of meats and they add a chopped up spring roll, which is a nice addition. They also have a nice Pho (noodle soup), with lots of flavor. Again, a choice of meats is offered, although the shrimp was rather bland. The also have a Banh Xeo (crepe) that isn't on the menu that is very tasty. I think the waiter called it a ""happy pancake"" or something like that. What the restaurant lacks in atmosphere is more than made up for by the skill and effort of the people who work there. We love this place.
Pros: The food and service are excellent
Cons: Location
