Horrible Service & VERY Rude Waiter!
My wife and I took my brother in law and my daughter and her friend to Ted's Montana Grill in Raleigh last week. We had a server named Kris, he started out being polite but that went down hill very fast. My wife and I (for the New Year) are getting in shape like most people try to do. We ordered a small cup of Chili to share. Kris brought us out a huge bowl of chili. I told him that ""we ordered a cup and would like that if he doesnt mind"" and he said ""well I brought you a bowl just keep that, I won't charge you for it"" my brother in law had ordered a BOWL of chili for his main meal. So I started to hand him the bowl and the waiter said ""Please don't do that I will bring his with the main meal"" and then he walked off into the back.
We sat and waited for about 30 minutes, several other tables were having issues with food as we noticed about 4 or 5 plates go back to the kitchen for problems. Kris finally came out and brought us all our food, he looked at my brother in law (who had been waiting for his chili) and said ""We are all out of chili would you like something else"" and this was after 30 mins and after we all got out food. My brother in law was very upset and just said ""No, please don't worry with it"" I looked down and noticed we had no chili on our burger and then remembered he said they were out. He also forgot our side items and acted pissed off when we told him he forgot. He was acting so rude I was actually afraid he was doing something to our food in the back.
After we got done eating and my brother in law got done staring at our food we saw another table get chili!! OMG, I thought they were out?! We asked another waiter and he said ""oh, they must have had that order ready before we ran out"" and this table had come in after us and after we got our food!
We were SO upset we asked for the bill. Kris (the waiter) ran over and sorta dumped it on the table and ran off again. I noticed he had charged us for the BOWL of chili my brother in law never got. I asked him to please remove it and told him it wasn't supposed to be on the bill. He JERKED (yes I said jerked) the bill out of my hand and said ""well you know this isn't my fault, the manager was supposed to fix this) and walked in the back.
I finally paid and we got out as fast as we could. We were so upset about the night that we talked about it for the next few days and into next week, the experience was THAT BAD! I don't like to make a scene and I don't like to talk to a manager etc in the restaurant so I emailed corporate and told them my story. They said they contacted the manager and would get back to me ASAP. It is now 6 days later and still no word.
Also just so you know I am not one to EVER complain and I even tip a waiter if they are rude because I know they may have had a bad day or another bad table. This is the first time in 20 years I did NOT leave a tip. So I hope this review will help you with your decision to eat here.
