Review content:
Just had a disappointingly racial experience there. My wife and I, who are both African American, came in without a reservation. We were told to do so by the male Vee (half of the co-owning couple who's last name ends in V) on the phone when I called to make a reservation, but was told none were available for the time I wanted. When we got there, at the time we requested, we were greeted by the waitress who asked if we had a reservation, we said no, to which the hovering female Vee responded to the waitress, ""Just put them there"", without any greeting. Our meal came and our food was great, but we then watched the female Vee greet every customer and male Vee check in at each table and make small talk with everyone BUT us. The place is so small that you have to make an effort not to talk, which the Vees did. We are both educated professionals who were dressed appropriately and were completely reserved in demeanor whereas other patrons in high top Converse sneakers were smiling and chatting it up with Mr. Vee. We definitely don't need the Vees chit chat or approval, but we didn't need them to be so obvious with their biases. I'm sure its a great restaurant if you're white. How sad.
Pros: Good Food
Cons: Racial attitudes
