Being a new business in town I thought I would give 250 Cleaners at 420 Westport Ave, NOrwalk Ct. a try. I brought in several shirts to be laundered. When I returned the owner said she needed to talk to me. She immediaetly said they did nothing wrong but one of my shirts was old and it had torn during cleaning. She brought out the shirt, still claiming they had done nothing wrong. The ""tear"" consisted of the entire left sleeve being torn off the shirt. I explained that the Ralph Lauren shirt was less than a year old, cost me $245.00 and had no problems. I also wanted an explaination of why, if it was a material defect it had only effected the left sleeve. She proceeded to say they had done nothing wrong and it was my problem. Upon further inspection I noticed that several other shirts now had orange stains on the sleeves and the upper sholders. She claimed it was my doing. I accepted the shirts and asked if she was going to charge me for the shirts they had damaged. Again she said they had done nothing wrong and would not refund my pre-paid fee. The policy that they required to be paid before services were rendered should have been a red flag. My tip to the owners would be
